Fem Meter

GameBoy Horror (PixUp) by Malarious!

Paranormal Activity was advertised on TV more than it should have been. I am a huge fan of anything paranormal. I am an avid observer of several hit TV shows like Ghost Hunters Paranormal, Paranormal State, and the Spirit of the laboratory. So seeing all the ads on TV and reading tests in the new film Paranormal Activity I was excited to see the movie for me. So, I went to see him this weekend at the opening night. Unfortunately, I was not impressed as I thought I would been.As I entered the cinema, buy my popcorn and soda, and walked to my seat in the theater I was eager to see what was touted in ads to be incredibly horrible and scary at the point of my dream was interrupted by paranormal activity.I honestly think the previews are better than the movie. Ok, let me be honest, no doubt, the points of the paranormal activity that made me nervous, but it was not until the scenes I saw in the commercial. I could have seen the commercials over and over again and had the same effect without having to pay. Without giving too much away from the film, if you're interested in seeing, I will give a brief account of my views of portions of the film. I will not give away the end in any way.The film begins with her boyfriend, Micah, with a new digital video camera to meet his girlfriend, Katie, at the front door shooting as she enters the house. Throughout the film Micah falls for his new toy and its intention to conduct paranormal activity on camera. Well I can honestly say that he does indeed get paranormal activity in the chamber during the night and a couple of times during the day, much of which looked very real and convincing, but everything leading up to the night filming led to an incredible amount of time. I was thinking in the beginning how long it took to get to the disturbing paranormal activity I've seen in commercials. The film was probably the home video 75 25%% In addition activity. In paranormal all home video clips of the film and Micah and Katie is constantly talking about the ghosts who have been following since I was eight years old the camera as a tornado moved across the room by a majority of the film. My wife went with a headache and stomach in knots, as I had an upset stomach and had to look away several times to avoid getting sick in the stomach. Paranormal Activity honestly reminded me of a cheaper version of Project Blair Witch. Out of the incredibly long wait for the climax of the film and motion sickness, the scenes of the paranormal activity was a true work of art. Paranormal activity was definitely very realistic on screen and made me jump a few times. When you are hearing clearly on the screen steps, doors opening and closing, with no one around, and leaves out of bed feels like you are beyond doubt witnessed paranormal activity and this sometimes scary. Unfortunately, there were only about seven or eight scenes showing paranormal activity. The rest was taping. It home video has said that Paranormal Activity was produced with only $ 11,000 in a span of 20 days. I can honestly say, that showed. I liked the film that showed paranormal activity, but not worth spending money to see it in theaters. I prefer to rent from Netflix and Blockbuster.

All About: Paranormal Investigators

The voice recorder is a very important tool in real ghost video. The recorder provides you with the ability to capture audio, and if your luck, a chance to catch a EVP. These kinds of audio anomalies commonly called electronic voice phenomenon are some of the most substantial ghost and spirit evidencethere is. Even though some will contend that they are nothing greater than other people within the groups talking, paranormal investigators and those you need to do the EVP work will contend that audio sessions are done during a extremely professional manner, and all of team members are included during audio work. Most of these groups will have one individual perform the talking by having a shut up period throughout the group.

Kristyn Gartland, Case Manager of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), the crew behind Sci-Fi's hit television show Ghost Hunters, says, "Everyone in TAPS has their own specialty. We all have different personalities, but it's great. It is a great place to be"

But that is not all Kristyn Gartland does.

She is currently offering classes at the TAPS headquarters in Rhode Island for paranormal investigators called Paranormal 101. The course is designed to prepare investigators for an investigation. It covers everything from the initial contact with the potential client to the actual investigation and feedback for the client.

"I was fortunate enough to have learned under the best guys in the paranormal: Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes. I was given the opportunity to travel all over to investigate and be a part of a great Ghost Hunters TV show." says Gartland.

"It took a long time to fine tune my skills as an investigator and I decided I wanted to share my experience by helping other investigators. I taught classes in the past with Mike Dion in Boston. I wanted to branch off on my own a little." Gartland explains.

"I have had too many experiences in the past to list; however, the ordeal I went through and the experience I have gathered from TAPS make me a great person to teach this class. I am very outgoing and I like to keep it on the light side. Not too serious; not too silly."

When asked about what she wanted her students to gain from participating in Paranormal 101, Gartland says that she wants to provide the information to broaden her student's knowledge of the many different kinds of hauntings, what to do when faced with them, and the signs to look for when dealing with clients.

"There are many aspects of paranormal investigations and I hope people leave with a wide range of knowledge." Gartland replied.

Gartland first made contact with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, the founders of TAPS and members of SciFi's hit show Ghost Hunters, nine years ago when she experienced an inhuman spirit in her own home.

"I learned very quickly it was not a force to be reckoned with. I was lucky to have people to help me. However, it is something that will haunt me for the rest of my life." Gartland laughed, and added the afterthought, "No pun intended."

Gartland has worked as an investigator and is now the Case Manager for TAPS. Although outgoing and eager to assist others, Gartland downplays her role as TAPS' Case Manager and claims, "I receive emails requesting an investigation. I then ask a series of questions to ensure they are serious. After that I set up the case with investigators."

Indeed, she makes her job sound easy; but something tells me that it is much more complicated than she makes it sound.

When it comes to the opinions of skeptics, Gartland is quick to reply, "Its ok, I don't care if they think we (TAPS Ghost Hunters) are crazy. I'm not real big on what others think. I will wait until they have an experience and call us."

"We (TAPS) are not here to convince those that don't believe to believe." states Gartland. "That's not what we are about."

That is a voice recorder and a camera. The camera doesn't need to be a digital version, but can be a 35mm, but I would recommend if you are using a 35mm film to use 400 speed or higher. The advantage of a digital is the amount of pictures, with the addition of a SD card, can be stored in your camera. And in case you have the available screen on your camera to review pictures, this gives you capability to review most of your pictures right on the spot on the investigation. Granted it may be difficult to find anomalies on this small screen, and you may be able to identify mysterious objects, to which you'll be able to debunk right at that moment.

These two types of equipment are essential and also the basics of the ghost hunting gear. You could add a easy and inexpensive tool to use for detecting potential ghosts, they are commonly called Dowsing rods. You might be able to pick up a decent pair of these for about 5 bucks or of up to $ 60. These are great in case you can't afford to buy a EMF detector, or a digital thermometer. .

{What Do You Need to Hunt Ghosts?

Many people believe that they'll need a lot of expensive ghost hunting tools to go ghost caught on camera. That is not true. Yes, having expensive hi-tech ghost hunting gear may increase your chances of capturing some historical ghostly evidence, but ghost hunting could be done with few pieces of equipment.
